Our Story

More Than a Roofing Company

BFA Roofing is a division of Build From Above LLC — a name that means exactly what it says. We build from above, both in craftsmanship and in the values that guide every job we take on.

Matt and Andrea Olson started BFA in 2022 with a simple conviction: there had to be a better way to run a home services company. One built on honesty, hard work, and genuine care for the people you're serving. They'd seen too many homeowners get taken advantage of, too many promises broken, too many corners cut. They wanted something different.

Three years in, the proof is in the referrals and the work itself: 500+ roof replacements completed for homeowners, sellers, buyers, and agents. The vast majority of BFA's business comes from neighbors telling neighbors — the most meaningful kind of marketing there is. When someone calls because a friend told them to, that's trust you can't buy.

The Owners

Matt & Andrea Olson

Matt and Andrea are the heart of BFA. Both are followers of Jesus, and their faith isn't just a tagline — it shapes the way they do business, the way they treat customers, and the standard they hold themselves to every single day.

Beyond work, the Olsons love staying active. Fitness is a big part of their lifestyle, whether it's early morning workouts or keeping up with their kids. They're deeply invested in their community — the kind of neighbors who show up when it matters.

Matt leads the field operations and brings a hands-on approach to every job. He's the guy who will get on your roof himself, inspect every detail, and not consider a job done until it's truly done right. Andrea handles the business side with the same commitment — making sure every customer feels valued and every detail is handled.

Jackson & Abby

Jackson, 15, is the teenager of the family — and already picking up the values his parents live out daily. Growing up watching Matt and Andrea build BFA from the ground up has given him a front-row seat to what entrepreneurship, faith, and hard work actually look like.

Abby, 4, is the unquestioned sunshine of the Olson household. With her big smile and even bigger personality, she has a way of making every room brighter — and her dad a little more motivated to make every job count.

Family is why Matt and Andrea show up every day. Every roof they install, every family they help through an insurance claim, every homeowner they go the extra mile for — it's all part of building something worth passing down.
